PM Narendra Modi invites Vladimir Putin to visit Kudankulam power plant

Finally, Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin after a long wait due to his engagement on bilateral discussion with host Dilma Rousseff in Brasilia. The Prime Minister Showed ddep interest in making long-term partnership including the areas of defence, neuclear energy, space, energy, trade and investment, peopl-tp-people contracts and addressing regional and global challenges. Both the leaders also agreed make Annual Summit in December 2014 a pride moment for both the countries by strengthening relationship through bright vision and road-map.

During the talk Mr. Modi invited the President to visit Kudankulam atomic power project during his trip to India which was positively responded. Apart from this, Modi asked also demands a liberal visa regime, especially for students.

Putin congratulated Modi for grand victory in Indian Loksabha election – 2014. Modi also recalled the days of his visit as a Chief Minister of Gujarat to Russia's Astrakan region.

At the end of the talk, Modi appreciated the speech of Putin on reforms of UN security council and 

international financial organisation during BRICS Summit. Later, Narendra Modi left for Brasilia  to participate in the sixth BRICS Summit with South American countries.

Accepting the invitation of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has taken off for Sixth BRICS Summit in Brazil, will be projecting new Indian government policies and approaches towards BRICS nations as well as other countries. In his speech, Modi also mentioned persisting weaknesses and unrest in the global economy. He added that many emerging economies have experienced a slowdown which has increased the challenge of pursuing inclusive and economic development.

·         Initiative for setting up New Development Bank

One of the major focuses of Indian PM would be to discuss intra-BRICS economic cooperation with collective efforts to advance global economic stability and prosperity. The BRICS Development Bank with a corpus of USD 100 million will fund projects in a number of countries and other developing countries. India is in contention for establishing its headquarters in New Delhi.

Further, he looks forward to the successful establishment of Contingent Reserve Arrangement, one of the initiatives which have seen significant progress since its launch in New Delhi in 2012.

PM Narendra Modi's Statement Before Leaving for BRICS Summit Brazil

New Delhi:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Brazil today to attend the five-nation BRICS summit which will be held for two days starting tomorrow. This will be Mr Modi's first multilateral engagement since he took over as Prime Minister.

Following is the statement by PM Modi prior to his departure for Brazil for the sixth BRICS summit: 

I leave today for Brazil at the invitation of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff to attend the Sixth BRICS Summit being held in Fortaleza and Brasilia on 15-16 July 2014.

India attaches high importance to the BRICS forum for promoting global economic growth, peace and stability. In the course of the past five summits and several ministerial and official processes, BRICS has made major strides in pursuit of these goals.

The meeting in Brazil will usher in the second cycle of BRICS Summits. We meet at a time of political turmoil, conflict and humanitarian crisis in several parts of the world, and persisting weakness and risks in the global economy. Many emerging economies have experienced a slowdown, which has increased the challenge of pursuing inclusive and sustainable economic development.

I look at the BRICS Summit as an opportunity to discuss with my BRICS partners how we can contribute to international efforts to address regional crises, address security threats and restore a climate of peace and stability in the world. I also look forward to our discussions to further advance intra-BRICS economic cooperation and our collective efforts to advance global economic stability and prosperity. In particular, I look forward to the successful conclusion of major BRICS initiatives, like the New Development Bank and the Contingent Reserve Arrangement, which have seen significant progress since their launch in New Delhi in 2012. These initiatives will support growth and stability in BRICS and also benefit other developing countries.

The Summit theme, "Inclusive Growth; Sustainable Development", will enable us to shape the post-2015 Development Agenda being discussed in the United Nations.

The Summit will also be an occasion for my first meetings as Prime Minister with the leaders of our important global partners - Brazil, China, Russia and South Africa. I look forward to meaningful meetings with them to intensify bilateral relations and exchange views on global and regional developments. 

The Summit will also afford an opportunity to interact with a number of leaders of South American countries at a meeting being hosted by Brazil. India has traditionally enjoyed close, cordial and mutually beneficial ties with these countries. We share common aspirations and challenges. The Indian Diaspora in these countries also serves as the continent's enduring link with India. South America's all round progress makes it a potentially important pole of the global economy and a land of enormous opportunities for us. My interactions would enable us to explore new ideas on further consolidating and expanding our ties with South America.

Public, Defence and Centre-State Relations: Top on PM Narendra Modi’s Priority List

As soon as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government took charge of various departments in Ministry, Modi-effect has started turning possibilities into realities through changes, actions and implementations on many issues. Narendra Modi has asked PMO to pay greater attention on some key factors i.e. Public Grievances, Defence, Centre-State Relations apart from other priorities.

Sources said that Shri Modi has showed deep interest in the mentioned factors as he has alerted PMO officials for quick actions on redressal of issues related to public grievances. The veterans are ordered to monitor progress of the activity.

Another priority on list was improvisation of Centre-State relations. The bureaucrats are wished to notice the problems, situations and scenario in states across the country. They are advised to meet representatives from different states on regular basis and assist to resolve matters as soon as possible.

The requirements of the armed forces is also on the top and expected not to put under ‘pending‘ category. Shri Modi expected three of the wings of armed forces - Army, Navy and the Air Force to be strengthen with essential weapons, gadgets and facilities after consultation of the chief of the armed forces as well as the Defence Secretary.  (Earlier, PM was given detailed briefing about the same.)

Shri Narendra Modi also decides to see service chief to monitor progress of security in nation. It is also learnt that Modi wishes to implement one-rank, one pension policy for the wings. Extending the priority list, PM also plans to focus on telecom, health, pension, banking sector along with civil aviation for processing of complaints.

Seeing all these quick action formulas, Modi seems to keep his promises for ‘Good Days to Come’ which were made during election campaign !!!

As the magic of  Narendra Modi and NDA seems working with updated results of Loksabha General Election - 2014, Bhartiya Janta Party, along with other alliances have secured winning position.

Strategies Discussed for New NDA Government with Modi

After the crucial meeting of Bhartiya Janta Party President Rajnath Singh with Narendra Modi, ArunJetley and Nitin Gadkari at Gandhinagar upto late night Returning to Delhi, he has said to media that decesion regarding new Chief Minister in Gujarat will be taken in the Party's Parliamentary Board meeting and the name will be announced on 17th May.

It is about a day remained in declaration of result, BJP leader Rajnath Singh asserted that party will take a decision after consulting veterans and their role will be assigned when asked about the role of Shri Lalkrishna Advani's role and responsibilities in new term. While asking about Modi's arrival in Delhi, he replied that Modi will arrive Delhi in Parliamentary Board on 17th May. He also informed that Modi has accepted the invitation.

In response to the question, " If you are sure about 272 seats for NDA, why BJP seeks support of NCP, BJD, AIDMK ?", Rajnath Singh replied that they believe in running a country taking all parties together. While asking about role of Lalkrishna Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Murli Manohar Joshi in the next ministry, he diplomatically replied that it would be decided by Parliamentary Board.

Yesterday, during one and half hour discussion in cabinet meeting, no discussion regarding government policies were discussed. In the later phase, Modi had spent four hours with Singh, Jaitley and Gadkari who had approached specially to see him.

Sources said that Modi and BJP leaders had a talk on performance of the party in different states and possibilities of declaring name, responsibilities from party and NDA in national cabinet.

Exit Poll Results Confirm Modi as next PM, Congress Dismisses Projection

The slogan ‘Ab Ki Baar Modi Sarkar’ seems favourable for Prime Ministerial candidate Shri Narendrabhai Modi and NDA with the announcement of Exit Poll figures. Almost all the polls indicates that NDA would get majority of the seats or will be very close to the ‘magic figure’ in Loksabha General Election – 2014

On the other hand, Congress leader Digvijay Singh quoted that in the country of 800 million voters it seems impractical to predict the result by surveying only a few lakh people. Congress Party General Secretary Shakeel Ahmed has also dismissed the predictions mentioning the failure of exit polls results in 2004 and 2009. Both of them have said that it is better to wait until 16th May.

New Record in 16th Loksabha Election: Modi Effect

India is waiting for the results of Loksabha General Election 2014 - Country’s biggest election which was completed on Monday after 36 days (Since 7^th April) in 9 phases. All records were broken by the voters of India by making 66.38% which is 2.39 % more voting than the previous record in 1984 when voters of India casted 64% votes to make Rajiv Gandhi Prime Minister against the assassination of Indira Gandhi.

With the grand entry of Shri Narendra Modi at National level, it is noteworthy that enthusiastic citizens of India have indicated a drastic change in Indian politics.
